This week, one of my hard drives started throwing read failures during short SMART tests. An extended test just finished, and the results are in the code block at the bottom of this post.
I've searched the forums and it seems the consensus is that if a drive is having read failures and the Multi_Zone_Error_Rate is increasing, the drive is bad and should be replaced (and RMA'd if in warranty). Am I understanding the consensus correctly? Should replace & RMA (it is still under warranty) this drive?
