SMART page not loading in TRUENAS Scale

I'm still relatively new to Truenas and I came across an operation / setup issue.
I feel like I've misconfigured my automated smart tests and now the page won't load. This happened when I tried to set everything up 2 weeks ago. I just can't figure out how to fix this without reinstalling Truenas.

I can check the disks with smartctl without and issue / errors.

I figured, that maybe an update of the system will fix this, but so far this hasn't happened. I've come accross a similar issue in Truenas Core form 2 years ago. But I feel like this doesn't apply to my system.

How can I fix this situation or at least find out where this does go wrong?

Thanks so much for your help.

Before we can give you some good advice on how to fix the problem, we first need you to post your system specs in accordance with the Forum Rules. Proved the version of TrueNAS, the motherboard, amount of RAM, CPU, how many drives you have, what is your boot drive, etc. And if you are running TrueNAS on a VM or on bare metal. If you are not running the current release of Scale, I urge you to upgrade to that version.

Question: Have you shut the machine down (power off) and back on (power on)? Not a reboot.

Specs:
Intel i5-13500
Gigabyte z790D
128GB DDR4 RAM
6x20TB Toshiba HDDs
1x256GB Samsung 970 Evo (Boot)
1x1TB Samsung 970 Evo

I'm running TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.3.1 on bare metal.
The rest works more or less like expected.

Ah sorry, I didn't read that.
Yes. The system has multiple reboots and complete powercycles at this point. Even an accidental power loss which it managed without an issue.
The issue persists since the first day (12.06.2023). I added 2 jobs and when I added the second one the interface couldn't load anymore.

I can't think of why off the top of my head that you would be experiencing this problem. You can use the GUI to save your configuration data (refer to the User Guide if your not sure how to do this), then reinstall TrueNAS, then restore the configuration file using the GUI again. Hopefully this will solve the issue. If you have older boot environments, you could try to roll back to one of those and if that doesn't work, roll back the the current version. But as you suspected it does look to me like a reinstallation of TrueNAS.

Is there documentation on how and where the SMART cron jobs are stored? I haven't really found anything about that and I have a hinge that resetting this config file and restarting might fix this.

The online user guide provides that information. Very easy to locate as well. Search for s.m.a.r.t and you will find it.

I've checked those again. They aren't really helpful with that error, since they only handle the gui. I tried deleting the content of
/etc/smartd.conf
Doing this doesn't fix the issue. After restarting the contents are restored. This means the data is stored elsewhere right?

When I try to add more jobs, I get an exception from the middlewared service -> Where does this get it's settings from?

I just fixed my issue. It was more straightforward then I had expected:
I downloaded the settings database and edited the tasks_smarttest table and basically wiping the two entries and than importing it again.
Now the smart page is loading again.

I noticed that I created two overlapping SMART tasks - could this be the issue that the system can't cope with that?
