Not sure if this belongs here or another section.
When I build my FreeNAS 2 years ago my transfer from my machine to it was 90-100MBs. Recently in the last few months, I notice the transfer are 18-20MBs. What can be the problem?
Is having more data with the same amount of ram(64GB) slow this down? Should I upgrade to more RAM?
The only thing I've notice in the last 2 years is me putting more data and upgrading FreeNAS from 9.3 to 9.10

Ah, there are recommendations to avoid filling your pool beyond certain levels due to the CoW method. One such limit is 80% IIRC, where performance decay. Next limit is 90% where performance REALLY decay.

It is time to add more storage drives to keep the ZFS unicorn happy.

Ahh ok. I already started to put away to buy a new 36 bay chassis.
I thought for now by expanding more memory it'll improve a bit.
