Slow transfers from Synology to Truenas when transfer is initiated by a PC over VPN

Hi all,
I have a Truenas box and Synology at home on the same local network. If I copy a file using my PC also at home I get gigabit transfers speeds, no problem here.

However, If I am at work and connect my work PC to my place over OpenVPN and I make the same copy operation, this is From my Synology to my Truenas, I get very slow transfer speeds, less than 1 Mbps.

Is this normal or is there anything wrong?
