SOLVED Slow terminal response (sometimes)

Hi!

I have what I considered a "not bad" hardware (see my signature, please).

In the last few weeks, though, I'm experiencing a slow terminal response to some commands, like "iocage console <jail>", sometimes.

And when I boot the server, I can see that it is spending more time to be available, also.

Is there a way to debug this kind of thing?

Would this indicate a failure on my boot device, for example? Currently It's a pen drive (Kingston DataTraveler 3.0 PMAP) inserted directly into a USB 3.0 on the motherboard.

Thanks.

Could be. Any other culprits showing in /var/log/messages around the time of the slowdown?

I didn't have the opportunity to check your suggestion, but instead I realized how crappy this Kingston DataTraveler crappy is a crappy piece of nothing. It doesn't have performance not even to send those birthday pictures to your family and friends.

I did replace it for a good and old 32GB Sandisk SSD and now my system is just flying...

Thanks.
Regards.
