I am having issues with how slow folder and file lists get populated when accessing my FreeNAS machine over CIFS. My transfer speed tests seem reasonable (below) for a raid-z2, but it takes almost 5 minutes to populate a list of 3,640 files and folders when I am browsing a folder over the network. My system is a 3rd gen i3, 8GB 1600mhz ddr3, and 6x3TB drives in a raid-z2 pool (unfortunately they are not all the same model/brand disk). Any ideas what might be causing this?
