Hi Everyone,

I have quick and hopefully easy solution, I have a Machine with 6 x 4TB,

my end goal is to have a single pool, which includes the OS and all the files, so I have 2 disk failure across the board

I don't want to have OS (mirrored) + rest of the drives in a pool
1) I lost quiet a a lot of storage
4tb for OS and zfs pool requires minimum 5 drives

Does Truenas scale not support the above request, I have been using it with proxmox for a very long time, I wanted to migrate start using truenas

which includes the OS and all the files,
not with TrueNAS. OS and DATA disks are separate. period.
TrueNAS is a storage appliance, and keeping these separate greatly reduces complexity and improves recovery speeds.
the OS disks are expendable. the DATA disks are not.
replacing any OS disk is a simple matter of a reinstall and importing of a config file. they do not need to be mirrored as long as you use an SSD of decent quality.

Really until TrueNAS supports NVME namespaces, this is not technically possible to do. From my understanding that is absolutely in the pipeline for the future.
