Silence UPS Alarm During Power Failure

Hello,

I use a CyperPower SL750U as my battery backup for my off site backup TrueNAS Scale backup that I store at my sister’s house. I was wondering if there is anyway to disable the alarm when the UPS is running on battery power during a power outage. That way if there is a power outrage in the middle of the night it will not disturb my sister. I also already have the TrueNAS server configured to shut down in the case of a power failure.

Not familiar with that model, but you can generally use upscmd command to disable beeper. The UPS system is NUT, Network Ups Tools software. So, your UPS name is your identifier on the services -> UPS screen. upscmd -l yourupsname should show you the available settings you can modify via the command line. Mine shows beeper.disable for example, does yours?
