shutdown stuck on bufdaemon

Hi all noob here,

Have been running freenas 8.0 for a while now and was preparing to upgrade to 8.0.4 by CD. But when i shutdown it appears stuck on stopping bufdaemon, its been trying to stop it for about 30 mins now and I want to know what impact there would be turning off the power... obviously that is a last resort, but I only had the system up for a few moments so I'm sure there shouldn't be much to sync or check.

Amd64 version and no one is connected, need anything more let me know

Left if on over night, still stuck trying to stop bufdaemon so must be some sort of deadlock perhaps related to one of the services that were starting as i went to reboot.

Once I rebooted the network connection wasn't working rl1 watchdog is down or something like that, rebooted again and it was fine.
