Well that's kind of stupid. They limit you to 5 per order so I went back and placed another order for an additional drive and it went through. Kind of defeats limiting you to 5 drives when you can just place another order for more. Oh well at least I've got my 6 new drives on their way.

Just got my first one in and shucked it. It's a EFAX red! Can't wait to see what the other 5 are, they shipped yesterday.

And here's the best part. ;)

Code:
22 Helium_Level 0x0023 100 100 025	Pre-fail Always - 100

Got the remaining 5 in today and shucked them all. All 5 are white labels and do not work with my power supply. A simple molex to SATA converter gets them running but I was hoping they would all be red's so I wouldn't have to do that. They also show attribute 22 as "Unkown_Attribute" but the output is the same as the Red so I'm sure that's also helium level. On a good note the drives do support TLER out of the box so that's a good thing.

Overall a good score. Now to finish testing them all so I can get them deployed.

Well it seems one of the drives is a dud. It's been stuck on a long test at 90% for several hours now. The test was started over 24 hours ago. I'll give it until tomorrow night but I have doubts it will complete. Has anyone ever RMA'd a drive with WD because it wouldn't complete a smart long test?

I've got a dozen of the 8TB with a year and a half runtime, no failures, no issues.

I've also got around 20 of the 12TB with somewhere between three and six months on them, also no failures, no issues.
