Sharing permissions help

Ive got my SMB set up for my media folder but i have a bunch of subfolders. Do i have to add each folder or is there an easier way to add one share and let it trickle down to each subfolder

Do you mean child datasets?

If that's what they are, you need to do the work as datasets don't share recursively.

Sorry im new to all this. bear with me haha. I have a dataset that has my movies and tv shows on it for plex. I added an SMB so I can add and edit video files on my windows computer. for example i have my tv shows folder then within that folder i have another folder each for a certain show. then another set of folders broke down by season. all are contained within a single dataset. but if i go into the folder on my computer the permissions arent set for the folders within the tv show folder.
