Hi@all
I have set up a FreeNAS (11.2-U4.1) in a VM to test out the features before buying hardware.
So far I‘ve joined it to my windows active directory domain (AD) and shared a dataset to my AD users.
AD users in right group can seamlessly open the shared folder in windows explorer via CIFS, work with ntfs permissions as if it was a share on a Windows file server - which is pretty neat.
Now I tried to share the same dataset/folder to the same users via FTP
Unfortunately I cannot autheticate using my AD users. Whatever I try I am always getting a “530 Login incorrect” (username, username@domain.local, domain\username, domain/username)
Allow Root Login – unchecked
Allow Anonymous Login – unchecked
Allow Local User Login – checked
Always chroot – checked / unchecked (tried both)
Any ideas?
Kind regards
Michael
