Shared Datasets with Sub-Datasets Inside

Hello everybody. Quick question. Is it common practice to have SMB shared datasets with sub-datasets inside? Is it possible for them to honor different settings?

Let's say I have Dataset1 in a pool with settings compression=OFF and sync=OFF. Inside this, Dataset2 is created with compression=ON and sync=ON.

Now i share and map Dataset1 in Windows as a network drive Z:, and so the client will see Dataset2 as a directory inside

Will the different settings be honored? Will the writes be syncronous and compressed inside folder Dataset2 while asyncronous and uncompressed in Dataset1?
