Setting up NordVPN Client on latest version of Scale

I am stuck,

Trying to install nordvpn client in shell but apk is not available, other commands missing as well.

Also trying the certificates and keys in a shared folder. Copied to etc/certificates, still not visible as a selectable option in the ui, neither when I reboot, neither after chmod to make the permission similar.

Using the UI, other issues. Going to network, open vpn, client ... Cannot import the keys and certification I downloaded from NordVPN website, there is no upload button.

Neither in system, general or somewhere there.

Any idea?

As a developer I have to be honest, the product Scale is not finished yet and I am sure the Truenas team is working hard on this.

TrueNAS SCALE or Core is not a general purpose operating system. It is an appliance style firmware for NAS and some misc. extras. And yes, SCALE is not done. I don't expect SCALE to be reasonable bug free for at least 1 year. However, SCALE is usable, most of the bugs are user interface, and their are no data loss bugs that I know of.

One other option is to use an external router for VPN access, like OPNSense;

You can also just buy a pfSense route box with software pre-installed.


All that said, as mentioned in the other thread, SCALE does have the ability to run apps. These may serve the required purpose.
