Setting ACLs for SMB shares

Hi Guys,
I am trying to set ACLs to allow multiple users access and read write to certain datasets, but hide them from other users. Is this even possible?
Should i use Posix or NFSv4 Etc. I'm using Scale 22.02.4.
Please be gentle with answers, I'm pretty much a complete noob to ACL type stuff so Dumb it down for me please.
Everything I've read on the forums is either for Core or its aimed at people on the 10th floor and I'm still on the 1st floor and I struggle to understand alot of what they are saying.
