I recently upgraded to FreeNas 9.1.1 and started mucking around with datasets and found something that seems to be a bug to me, but not sure.
I created a Volume called Storage. I gave that volume the permissions of owner can do everything, group can do everything, and everyone can do nothing. I then created a dataset called Media and gave it permissions of owner can do everything, group can do everything, and everyone can read and execute.
When I open the permissions of the Volume storage, it now has the same permissions as the dataset. Whenever I change the permissions in either the Volume or the DataSet, it changes the other. Is this a bug, or is this somehow intended and you are expected to just have a bunch of different DataSets with different permissions under your volume?
