Self-added service disappears - does some security measure clobber it?

I installed a network service using APT and it worked great for a few hours. Then it disappeared.
I suspect there is some sort of security scan that happens periodically and deletes it from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants

Would someone have information on how to prevent that from happening?
Thanks!

Yes: don't treat TrueNAS like a general-purpose Linux distribution, because it isn't one. Installation of software into the base OS isn't supported; use the Apps or Launch Docker Image features if you need additional software.

Well, the service I was trying to add is Lokinet which creates a a network interface that then can be used to access the TrueNAS securely from anywhere without the need to have firewalls.

It doesn't really make much sense to run it as an app or VM as the idea is to have your TrueNAS in all of its goodness accessible over Lokinet.

Again, it worked great, but then everything disappeared. How would I exclude Lokinet from being clobbered?
