So i'm having my first failed HDD with FreeNAS.
Scrub started tonight as ususal and sends me an email that it is starting. Fine.
Then i have a warning from SMART about high temperature. Then another warning that SMART can't read output from same drive.
I log in and find a faulted drive. Also:
So my feeling is that it really should send an email WARNING about the errors found during scrub.
The next time SMART could be ok but scrub could still find r/w errors.
That could leave a faulted drive unreplaced for longer than nessessary.
Can email notification of scrub errors be enabled?
Edit:
I see now that the zpool status output is included in the Daily run output" but when errors are found i still think it should highlight it.
Maybe include "ERRORS FOUND" in the mail header?
