I am a little confused by the scheduler interface.
If I want long S.M.A.R.T. test to run twice a month, do I need to specify specific days? (I guess so) But if I do that, does it matter - or does it make any difference - what the preset at the top is set to?
After digging in some old threads, I thought to make some changes and run both the long test (which in fact never ran due to conflicting settings, which I found out in my other thread) and scrub twice a month.
I think the long test takes about 9 hours with my disks and scrub around 3.
What I want to achieve is running both tests kind of on the same days with the S.M.A.R.T. test starting at 23:00 and the scrub the next night (but sort of on the same day).
Will this work?
Also regarding scrubbing, why does it run weekly and the treshold is set to 35 days by default? That makes absolutely no sense at all. Why schedule it to every week when it can only run once in 35 days?
