SATA SSDs good enough for my setup as metadata vdev?

I am looking into getting (budget friendly) SSDs to create a metadata vdev mirror for my 4x 12TB RAIDZ1, which is currently connected through a LSI9211 HBA.
From what I have read so far, these don't need to be huge, but it's important they have Power Loss Protection. So I stumbled across this (discontinued) SSD:

256GB, 98k/14k IOPS (read/write), SATA6.

Would these be feasible when connected to the HBA?
Or should I go for NVMe?

The server is hosting home directories, media files as well as backups (lot's of small files).

Thank you!
