Hello!
I am still building my first NAS (which is actually not for me):
In this thread where I ask for help about suddenly detached HDDs, @Samuel Tai said "You should try to get shorter cables.".
In fact, being German, I've ordered 20 of those Supermicro Spare 2FT Amphenol SATA CB cables without thinking about that "2FT" could actually mean "60 centimeters", ending up in a nerve-wrecking fiddling:
Can anyone recommend short, easy-to-handle SATA cables?
I've found these so far:

I've found these so far:
- Silverstone SST-CP11 – ultra-thin, 30cm, but ultra-expensive as well
- Delock SATA 6 Gb/s Cable 20 cm red FLEXI – not-so-thin, 20cm, many variations, most difficult to get and prices range from "not-cheap-but-okay" to "ultra-ultra-expensive".
