I was looking at this exact card and have the same mobo. Wondering which card you eventually decided on.

All known till the moment Marvell 6Gbps SATA (non-SAS) chips are supported now by FreeBSD and should be supported by FreeNAS. I've tested HighPoint RocketRAID 640 on FreeBSD and it was working fine, looking as two dual-port SATA controllers, that it really is.
