S3 no longer works after 12.0-U8 update.

I figured after the SMB issue it made sense to install the 12.0-U8 update when available. So I installed it on two servers, and it all seemed to be running OK, but then I realized that S3 service was no longer running. Checked both TrueNAS servers and the same problem. I even went in and just re-saved the configs to see if it had any effect, but trying to start it I just get "S3 Service failed to start".

So then I looked at the console, and I see: (I changed identifying info)

Feb 2 14:19:05 truenas 1 2022-02-02T14:19:05.963766-05:00 truenas.leadmon.XXX minio 7722 - - ERROR Invalid MINIO_SERVER_URL value in environment variable: invalid hostname


S3 was running fine prior to the update from U7 to U8, but seems dead now! Any ideas, how I can fix this, as I see no way to set that value in the GUI..

Hi, @WEB3FFV can you please share the output of `midclt call s3.config`?

Also, can you also file a JIRA ticket @ https://jira.ixsystems.com/ and attach your latest debug?

I'm also having this issue and using a wildcard certificate. I noticed the TLS Server URI had the *.domain.com in it. After updating it still will not start S3.
