S.M.A.R.T. - Not starting/crashing?

I've been trying to figure this out for a little while now. I've seen a lot of threads regarding smart services but everyone I've read is a boot from usb related issue. SMART services keep turning off/not starting and I'm not sure what to do or what logs/how to show logs for finding my issue. I'm 99% new to truenas and I've only followed guides to get everything setup
My install is on a pair of Tforce 256Gb SSDs, currently sitting on 16 HGST 4tb HDDs, with a Tfroce 1Tb nvme I tossed into use as a cache before learning that's not how cache drives work for truenas
