Ryzen 3400G IGP memory allocation?

I'm using a Ryzen 3400G CPU with an IGP. I can allocate up to 4GB for the IGP in BIOS but I'm wondering what should I allocate to the IGP when using TrueNAS Scale?
Can TrueNAS Scale make use of the Ryzen IGP?

It depends what you want to use it for.

For Apps you would likely need our App for adding AMD support to SCALE. If even the container supports AMD hardware (most do not to be honest). For GPU passthrough: that should work fine.

I'm only using Plex and nextcloud. Given that sort of usage should I just allocate as least as possible to the IGP so I can make use of more system memory?

There is no correlation between IGP allocation and ram allocation.

When I allocate 2GB for the IGP in BIOS, TrueNAS reports I have 14GB system memory available.
When I allocate 1GB for the IGP in BIOS, TrueNAS reports I have 15GB system memory available.

What I am asking is, if the IGP on the Ryzen can't be used, should I allocate as little memory as possible for it in BIOS so TrueNAS has more system memory?

It can be used, like we explained before there is an AMD kubernetes passthrough feature available from us.
However most containers might not be able to use it.

If you don't use it it's indeed best to limit allocated memory

Thanks, I'll limit the IGP memory for now and keep an eye on the AMD plugin developments.
