Rsync not running

Although I'd managed to set this up and get it running, I still don't really understand it enough to know why it's suddenly stopped!

I have a USB drive (NFS) attached to my FreeNAS box and was using rsync to copy files from my zfspool on a weekly basis. Just realised that this stopped running at the end of last year (I know, should have spotted sooner) and even though I've check the set-up and recreated the modules and tasks I can't get it working again.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Not sure what format NFS is... do you mean "NTFS"?

I've had another look at this and set-up the USB drive as a separate ZFS pool (APE_usb)

Rechecked the rsync service, module and task and everything looks fine.

I did notice a possible problem in the console:

Jun 2 22:11:16 freenas notifier: Starting rsyncd.
Any ideas?

Kind of! Can't get rsync running through the GUI but it works fine from the shell

Yes.
The DNS does not work, seriously
You have to type in the IP for rsync
And receive rsysnc… IP
It’s a head fuck, but once its works, its gold

Not sure about IP/DNS as syncing between 2 pools on the same box?

If an IP is absolutely necessary, use 127.0.0.1, but it shouldn't be.
