route traffic out of a vpn server

I’ve set up an openVPN server on a jail on my freenas

I can connect to the server from the outside world and it authenticates OK and can SSH to this server
but I cant access any other IPs on the local network except by ssh from the the vpn server

OK for me be no use to others

can someone please explain how I route traffic from VPN to the Lan
