Hello,

situation: I had 8.3.0 p1 running for almost a year when my usb stick decided that it was time to corrupt some data. Unable to boot from it from this point on I reinstalled it with what I believed was the same version.

Turns our however that i didn't install 8.3.0 but 8.3.1 instead. I uploaded the configuration file after setting the network configuration and everything seems to have worked like a charm. No issues so far (Iscsi works, network shares & permissions are all good. jails/sabnzb etc also work.)

Should i worry about this unexpected upgrade and consider downgrading, or can i assume it's safe to continue using my current install?

Kind regards
Rik

It's totally safe to use the new install. Actually this is one of the available methods to upgrade an existing installation to a newer version ;)
