RESOLVED 9.3 install fails

Trying to do a fresh install of 9.3 but it fails right after I specify the root password:
freenaserror.jpg

I have tried two different flash drives at this point.

reinstalled 9.3 on a flash drive and then used a different flash drive to install it. no errors this time. not sure why it didn't work the first time but i'm good now.
