According to that FAQ from SM, it does appear that the E5-1600 v3 series is not compatible with LRDIMM's. This is probably a result of the memory controller on the CPU not having LRDIMM support (Intel probably disabled it since most of the 1600 series CPU's are geared more towards workstations). I think I remember seeing something about this in the Supermicro manual for these X10 E5-2600 v3/E5-1600 v3 boards.

Just wanted to let you know that Supermicro confirmed what TXAG26 and I assumed.

Hier is a quote from the Email correspondence:

Supermicro:
Yes, the E5-1600 v3 CPUs do not support LRDIMM memory per our lab testing results. You will either need an E5-2600 CPU to support the LRDIMM memory.

My original Email to Supermicro:
Dear Sir or Madam,

I got issues with various beeps upon boot up. Sometimes 3 Short & 1 Long, another time 5-6 Short (hard to count) & 1 Long beep.

Mainboard: X10SRH-CLN4F
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1620 v3
Memory 2 x 32 GB Samsung M386A4G40DM0-CPB (that is the Module Manufacturer Part #), this memory is from the supported list of Supermicro

Can you confirm this statement: http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=20536

Is the Intel Xeon E5-1600 v3 Series really not compatible with LRDIMMs?
