Request timed out - where to look ?

I'm seeing these errors on the console from time to time but on this occasion right during the boot process:

The whole NAS hangs and all I can do is a cold reset...

There is a thread about this 10 years ago but no real resolution / information.

I'd say it looks like a hardware issue but would appreciate any hint / suggestion. In particular what log(s) might give us more info about what is happening.

Well not much reactions :/

I have tried to further research this without much success - I have surfaced a few more threads with similar issues except that they seem to correlate with the use of RDM under ESX, which we are not doing here (this is a “bare metal” install).

Not sure where to go from here. Obviously not necessarily expecting a solution but troubleshooting hints, starting with what logs to review.
