Reports Not Showing

The reports are not working on my installation. Obviously this has to do with my machine otherwise other people would have reported it. I tried it both on Firexfox & Edge on two different clients with the same results (no graphs in the reports). I cleared cache in both browsers, it didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?

On which pool is your system dataset? Is it out of space?

on all pools. As far as know the reports such as cpu usage history or temp are not pool dependent.

Just fresh installed 13.0-U2, uploaded the revious config file, the problem still persists. I must have switched off some setting that prevent reports collecting data. A screen shot is attached.

I don't see Dataset option under Reporting - System - System. Please see attached screen shot.

Alright, change it from Tank1 to whatever else you've got (boot-pool if nothing else). It'll warn you about having to stop SMB, so make sure if this is a production NAS that you do it afterhours. It takes a minute to finish. Now have a look at your reports. Any better? If you moved it to your boot-pool, you'll wanna move it back to Tank1. If it still isn't working, can you shoot another screen @ System, Reporting. I never realized how confusing it is that "Reporting" is listed twice in this way. Anyway, the screen shot I'm looking for is system / Reporting and says "General Options".

I changed it to Tank2, Tank3 and Back to Tank1. Still to reporting. Below is the screen shot you asked for.

That looks normal. Reporting is one of those things that seemingly always gets broken in TrueNAS. Here are a few more things to check:
1. are you accessing the web GUI via IP address or FQDN? Try accessing it via IP Address if you are using FQDN.
2. are you using Chrome? Switch to Firefox and check your reports.
3. were you already using Firefox? Open a Private Tab and go to the IP address of your Web GUI and check your reports.

Thank you for your response. I had already done all the items you listed from three different client machines. Obviously I have done something to break the reporting. What I don't know. It is just not storing the data points.

Hmmmm, you wanna try some more stuff? The Reporting is tied to collectd, which stores the data in /var/db/collectd/rrd/[hostname]. Navigate over here and take a look around your hostname to see what it looks like. You should see a lot in here... basically everything that has an option in your Reporting area. Let's kill it all! Delete everything in your hostname folder. Now let's restart collectd: "service collectd onerestart". It'll only take a second and your hostname folder will repopulate with the same stuff you saw before.

For me, with functional reporting, this wipes out all of my historical data (won't matter for you!) and starts it over from riiiiight now. Maybe you've got something real funky in your hostname folder and it needs to be refreshed.

This resolved the total lack of reporting data for me. But after stopping collectd, clearing the files under ...\rrd\[hostname] I had to run "service collectd onestart" to get it going again (as instructed by the little man in the console). Then I got some errors about some rrd related process being unable to connect, so I restarted the whole server, problem solved shortly after the reboot, but not immediately (~5mins after reboot).
