I've been testing TrueNAS (Core) replication via the "Replication Task" GUI. I'm having trouble distinguishing the difference between checking "Recursive" and "Include Dataset Properties" vs checking "(Almost) Full Filesystem Replication".
I understand some of the options in the replication task gui go beyond a single CLI command, I was hoping to start here to help me understand what these do.
inb4RTFM
Recursive | Replicate all child dataset snapshots. When selected, Exclude Child Datasets becomes available. |
Include Dataset Properties | Include dataset properties with the replicated snapshots. |
(Almost) Full Filesystem Replication | Completely replicate the selected dataset. The target dataset will have all of the properties, snapshots, child datasets, and clones from the source dataset. |
Is there really a difference between checking the first two and selecting the third option? Are having all three options redundant?
