I have two pools set up on my TN. Primary pool with all internal HD, and secondary pool to all the disk from my external JBOD. I have setup few datasets (file shares) on my primary pool. From playing around with the replication task, (select source and destination), it seems it does not replicate or mirror your source dataset definition when data are getting replicated. So questions I have are, based on best practices.
1. If one were to set up selected (2 of the 5 file shares/datasets) replication between 2 pools, would it make sense to not only create the identical dataset on the backup pool but perhaps the ACL for the backup pool also?
2. If the fileshare from the primary pool is setup as share, where I can map to from my Win10 desktop, is the intent to have the replication (backup) fileshare on the backup pool be share also (so I can map to it also from my win10 desktop)?
