Replication not working after upgrading

Hi,

I just upgraded TrueNAS to Bluefin, and then one of my replication jobs doesn't work anymore:

  • Replication "Remote Replication task" failed: No incremental base on dataset 'MyNAS/ix-applications/docker' and replication from scratch is not allowed..
Any clues on how to fix this?
Best,

Francis

No incremental base on dataset
your source and destination are not in sync. possibly a snapshot expired, or you created a new snapshot on the destination.
you need to check your source and destinations, and if they are definitely correct, probably enable replication from scratch to replace the destination and get it up to date, unless you can figure out what snapshot is out of sync where.

also note that replicating the application directory might not be a good idea.

as you havent given any other details, such as forum required info, difficult to say much more.

Is there any way to make the snapshots replicate without having to remove all of the snapshots from the destination? I changed the naming convention of several of my snapshot tasks to make life easier, and would prefer to not lose my old snapshots.

not if you have lost the base snapshot, no, you need to get it all back into sync. merely changing the naming convention won't affect that (unless you renamed your base snapshot(s), which would make them all different and need a resync)

the best naming convention to use is the default, as that allows things like previous versions to work correctly.
