I have just recently reaplced my 4 1TB hardrives with 4 3TB WD Reds.... Atoexpand wasenabled before starting the process....
I took each of the drives OFFLINE replaced with 3TB hard drive, added the new drive to the pool and waited for the resilverd to complete before continuing onto the next drive.

Do I need to go through section 8.1.12. Enabling ZFS Pool Expansion?

running on version FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201501301837
4 3TB Hardrives (upgraded from 4 1TB)
12GB Ram
