SOLVED Replaced failed disk, unreadable sectors, smartctl no error

Hey out there,

I've a strange problem. I replaced a failed WD Red 1TB (da3) on wednesday, following the FreeNAS doc (mark offline, replace physical, replace in GUI). After resilvering was completed, I got this alert in the GUI:

What am I missing? Is there a way to reload the GUI alerts (not a page refresh)?

And/or just reboot, IIRC the alerts are cleared on reboot.

yeah... of course... I will do so. But why is the GUI alerting, when SMART isn't showing any error? Isn't the GUI alert parsing SMART data?

IIRC it's also cleared each night when the automatic scripts are launched.

long test finished. SMART is not seeing any errors. So why does the GUI?

Because it displays the error of the old drive, it'll clear it if you wait long enough.

I'm waiting since 46 hrs and 2 "reloads" each night. It would be nice to refresh the alert system of the GUI to see if it's false positive... Like I said, a restart is no option.

It clears when you delete /tmp/.smartalert. Reboots will not clear the file. :P

was inside /tmp before, but only had a look at alert... in this file, the message is written under p14.
deleted /tmp/.smartalert but no change for now. will wait another night, to see if it clears.

as always... thx @cyberjock ;)

EDIT
1 minute after writing this, the alert cleared itself. it' done :)

Right, it only clears the scrub errors, I forgot about that...
