I had 3 USB drives in a single boot mirror for my freenas installation. I removed one USB drive leaving the other 2 drives in place.

The machine boots fine, but obviously it says that the boot pool is degraded (since one of the 3 mirrored drives is now missing.)

I would like to remove that drive from the pool configuration leaving me with 2 mirrored drives in the boot pool. Is this possible? I don't seem to be able to find the option in the GUI, but I can always SSH into the box if there is a command-line method for accomplishing this. I am running 9.3.

# zpool status
<find the GUID or gptid you want to remove>
# zpool detach freenas-boot <GUID or gptid string>

Thanks cyberjock, that worked perfectly. I wasn't sure if the boot pool had to be handled more gingerly than a regular ZFS pool, but I guess not.
