Hey all,
I am running FreeNAS8.3 on a Pentium D 2.8, 4gb ram, 1x2TB WD hdd. I have a CIFS share configured and had been using it for about a week. Got about 500GB of data on it and suddenly I cannot access it from explorer. I am running Win 7 Pro x64 on my custom pc. I can access the web GUI just fine. I tried creating another share pointing to same location as other but still cannot access it. The error I get is "Windows cannot access \\freenas". I have tried using \\(IP), smb://(IP). Nothing works. I could use some help. FreeNAS is configured with guest access/no login/empty password. CIFS service is running. I have tried stopping and restarting but no luck. Please help if you can.
Thanks
