"RELEASE-p1" and "RELEASE"?

I have a question
*What's the difference between "RELEASE-p1" and "RELEASE".
Read the description did not find the explanation "RELEASE-p1".

Any release with a "p1" or number greater than 1 is a PATCHed release. That doesn't mean that you install it like a patch, it's just a new release that is already patched.
