reinstall plex without losing settings of old server

Hello my plex server wont start since ive updated to 11U2 do im wanting to reinstall but I dont want to lose any of my old settings and stuff. its stored in a jail but i dont know how the configuration settings will be effected.

You can check where your Plex data is stored using the web interface under Settings > Server > General.

Make a backup of this directory or rename it, install a fresh copy of Plex, then copy the files you want i.e. metadata and settings.
