Redirect port on FreeNAS to port in Jail?

Hey, I would like to redirect a port (say 8000) to the same port number in one of my jails (which has a different IP address to the main FreeNAS system). It's annoying having to remember all the IP addresses for all my plugins :(. I know this can be done somehow, I've seen several pages for FreeBSD/OS X about this issue, but there seem to be so much conjecture on what to do to make it happen.

So say my FreeNAS system sits on 192.168.1.116 and my jail is on 192.168.1.117, how can I make it so that a call to 192.168.1.116:8000 will redirect to 192.168.1.117:8000?
