Recommended SATA III JBOD controller card for FreeNAS 1U Server

I am building a 1U server with 2.5" SATA III drives and wanted to know if there are recommendations on the good quality controller card with JBOD for FreeNAS. I would like it to support up to 8 drives and no RAID (of course).

If some people can recommend good vendors and what to look for.

The motherboard is pretty old so I really don't trust the onboard LSI chipset to work optimally.

IBM M1015 reflashed with IT firmware, and a right-angle adapter to fit it in your 1U server.

$100-$150 used, SAS/SATA 6Gbps capable, and eight ports

Onboard LSI HBA? If it is 3Gbps then it will be limited to 2TB HDD's. The M1015 is a good choice.

Thanks Guy's. Onboard LSI is 3Gbs and only allows 4 disks so I want to avoid.

I'll look at the M1015. Looks like a very popular card with enthusiasts.
