Recommended pdf management app?

Looking for recommendations for a pdf management app to install on SCALE as either a Docker image or Kubernetes.

In an ideal world, something like the Mealie app for recipes, with a thumbnail of the document and searchable metadata.

I have a couple drawers full of paper manuals for electronics, appliances, HVAC components, all kinds of things. I'd like to just put them in a box in the attic and get the drawers back for something useful, and on the odd occasion I need to access a manual, I'd be able to do it with just a web browser bookmark.

Could do it with iBooks on an iPad, but then my wife wouldn't be able to get to them, so hosted on my NAS would be better.

Nextcloud. And it even has a recipes app with android and iOS apps to go along with it!

Indeed, and I'm running it for recipes, but for pdf management, it won't work. A variation of it would be ideal.

Nextcloud seems like it'd do the job, but maybe a bit heavyweight. Perhaps I'd find uses for its other features though.

paperless-ng looks (from its description) like it should do the job. It's a stable Truecharts app.
