Hi guys,

It looks like my HBA (IBM M1035) is about to die.
Searching for a replacement is harder than expected. Looking at the Hardware Recommendations post these HBA's where listed. I need at least 8 ports.

IBM/ Lenovo M1015/M1115
LSI SAS 9211-8I and LSI SAS 9207-8i
DELL PERC H200 and H310
Even LSI SAS 9201-16i

All isn't in stock any anywhere near Denmark(Germany, UK etc.)
I can't even find any used or 4i models.

There are some claiming its in stock on Amazon, but they are more than 300% overpriced.

What do I do?
Am I search for the wrong cards?

Hi ThomasDK81,

I've noticed several cards available on amazon.de from 99-160 euros each. These seem reasonably priced to me. Otherwise you could check out https://natex.us/components/storage/ in the US for used cards. They ship to Europe and the costs are reasonable.

Thanks, I must be using the wrong search terms at amazon.de.

Does it matter what manufacturer it is, as long as it is a 9211-8i chip?
In that case I found: https://www.amazon.de/LSI-lsi00194-...e=UTF8&qid=1545309644&sr=8-3&keywords=9211-8I

Hi,

I mostly used "LSI 9211-8i" as my search terms. Tread carefully though, I have heard reports of there being fake cards out there. I have never experienced this myself but it should be possible to verify the retailers. Stick to the ones with an physical presence in Europe and you should be fine.

Seen the e-bay link, thats really cheap. The risk of toll and fakes, may by worth it :)

Thanks everyone, I was stuck on searching for the known manufactures.
