Does TrueNAS Core support Realtek 2.5GB NICs?
Last time I tried it a couple months back (Sometime between August and October I think) the kernal that TrueNAS Core wqs using hadn't been updated to FreeBSDs latest version and therefore didn't have support for Realtek 2.5GB NICs for whatever reason.
I think it was the kernal anyway, it could have been something else but I remember it was something that FreeBSD had an update for and that IX hadn't updated Core to support.

I'm currently using version "TrueNAS-13.0-U6.1" of Core.
I don't know my specific Realtek chip number off the too of my head so I'll provide it in a edit this message or a comment.

Edit: I think the chip is a RTL8125B

Not well, Intel, whoever, does not matter, they are all pretty flakey right now, under TrueNAS, PFSense, you name it, so they should be avoided for now if you can.

Also, you do not want Realtek NICS in BSD/NIX anyways, because they are, well, crap in general.

Theoretically yes.

In short though, don't do it.

Once you get it going you will find random reboots.
