Rclone Options ('exclude' for example)

Is there a way to run Rclone (or 'Cloud Sync Tasks' as it is called in the GUI) with user-defined options, either through the GUI or by command-line editing of the Rclone config files?

I've seen posts here where users ran Rclone direct from the command line inserting run-time options, but I'd like to make the changes permanent and to apply to the sync tasks I set up in the GUI. Is that possible now, or is it planned in future releases?

In my case I am backing up my website's online folder by an SFTP 'pull', and I want to exclude the '.htaccess' and some other files which throw errors in the Rclone log because they are protected.

I gave up on the GUI and set up an rclone config on my data pool and then scheduled a cron job to run it. This is permanent between upgrades.

It's pretty easy to get going and you get access to all the rclone features which the GUI does not have yet.
