RAIDZ2 - 4 Disk to 10 Disk

Hiya, got 6 new disks of same size and type, is there an easy way to change my raidz2 from 4 disk to 10 disks without having to remove all data and re-create it

You might be able to do it with another pool, sparse files and degraded pools (and by that: throwing out data security), but it won't be easy and certainly not safe for data. With only two disks worth of data I would consider backing up, recreating the larger pool and then restore.

Yes-ish. Create a second raidz2 vdev with 6 disks in the same pool. Drawback, you are now using 4 parity disks instead of 2.

Short of that - new pool with raidz2 or raidz3 and restore data.

Thanks for the replies! Decided to borrow a 10tb drive and back up everything and re-create the pool
