Raid X

With ZFS, the standard Raid arrays are all possible we all know it. Wondering if Raid X is possible with this configuration, to avoid re-raiding everytime I need to expand to a larger volume? Would like to be able to auto expand much like the Ready nas devices you see online.

ZFS does not have the ability to make fundamental changes to a RAID vdev, except:

You can add another vdev to a pool to increase size, or

You can replace each drive one at a time with a larger drive. When all are larger, the size of the vdev will increase.

No changes to the width of a vdev or the parity level of a vdev are possible.
