Hi,

I'm using TrueNAS Scale some time now in my home and I got questions:

1. How's with compatibility with HP servers ... Fore example I wondering to use HP DL380e G8 with D2607 (flashing to IT mode) to use both as storage server and for 2 VM. I know that previous version of TrueNAS (FreeBSD) version got problems with HP servers but i wonder if SCALE based on Linux get it work without problems?
2. Is LAGG function work fine in SCALE version? I meant to use TrueNAS as ISCSI server for other HP server that I startup once in the while.
3. I got APC UPS that have USB interface how I can setup UPS to communicate with SCALE? I found manual for older version but after upgrade I got problem with that.

Best regards,

Not clear what you're referring to. FreeBSD and TrueNAS work fine on HP kit, similarly to Linux, except that it's a bit pickier about hardware, especially ethernet. But that doesn't mean Linux is "better" -- FreeBSD already worked with the best hardware choices for the job, so Linux just lets you use more subpar devices.

Link aggregation should probably not be used for iSCSI.

TrueNAS on both FreeBSD and Linux use the NUT UPS package. Do not expect significant differences.
